Tradition and Family.
That explains our mission as we provide a place
where families can experience a 100 year old
farm and homestead near Moffat in Central Texas.
We purchased the farm in January 2000, and soon
realized the historical importance that the farm
had in Bell County. Former owners and
neighbors stopped to visit and share stories
from years past. And today we extend that
same neighborly atmosphere to all those who
visit us during Pumpkin Patch, the Christmas
Season and Spring Fling.
Bob and
Marilyn Garber moved with their 3 daughters from Michigan to Central Texas in 1972. Bob
was a builder of custom homes, remodeled older
homes, and now uses his skills on the farm.
Marilyn opened Sunshine Nursery School in Harker Heights,
and spent many years preparing children for
school.
It took three times for Marilyn to retire
from teaching pre-k and early elementary, but
she has fun teaching again when many youngsters
visit the farm during field trips. In addition
to the farm and Bed & Breakfast, they both work
part-time in sales of Promotional Products
throughout the year.
Sadie Mae, the farm dog, is the Official
Greeter.
She meets PEOPLE with a wag of the tail
and a smile, but is not fond of other animals on
her farm.
So bring your family, your camera, but
leave your pet at home.
